“Those who have not yet heard”

“Those who have not yet heard”

Audio Bibles are blessing many people in one Middle Eastern nation. Through the dedicated work of ministry partners and missionaries, local pastors across the country are being equipped with Proclaimers, Mini Proclaimers, and BibleSticks to reach out to their communities with the hope of Jesus Christ.

One pastor and partner who works as an evangelist and church planter in rural villages shared:

“Where there is no church building, we select a house that has space for seating, dedicate the household, and select a place for house-church members to worship regularly. In this picture [above] of a house church, you can see how they sit in the courtyard for worship.

During that visit, we gave them 3 Mini Proclaimers and 6 BibleSticks with the New Testament in their language. This will enable them to listen to the Word of God. Because almost all the people in this village are illiterate and unable to read the Bible, Mini Proclaimers and BibleSticks meet their needs exactly. We thank God for His provision, which allows us to give the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who have not yet heard.”

God’s light is shining out as a beacon of hope

A missionary who received Proclaimers through our Every Church Every Village program gave them to pastors in multiple areas of the country. He wrote back to us about a few of the unique ways that these men are using God’s Word to reach . . .

. . . the poor:

“Pastor I. plans to plant new churches in the very poor areas of his city. He is moving leadership teams there and will use the Proclaimer to conduct Bible studies to disciple the illiterate. He feels the Proclaimer is a gift from God because of its potential to effectively minister to these people and help build the church strong in the Word. He is a young pastor, but very progressive and motivated.”

. . . college students:

“Pastor G. is also a professor who runs a club for college students several evenings of the week. In this setting, non-Christians can come to learn more about Christianity and ask questions; they are also welcome to debate the differences between [various religions]. Pastor G. stated that most of these students do not own Bibles and could not take one home if they wanted to, for fear of rejection from their families. Pastor G. will use the Proclaimer for group listening, discussion, and study.”

. . . the elderly:

“N. is pastoring a growing church. He has been going door-to-door and sharing his faith with many over tea. He has discovered many elderly shut-ins who are open to Jesus and want prayers from Christians. Pastor N. will be taking the Proclaimer with him during these visits, so the elderly can hear about Jesus’ healing and care for the sick in the Word of God.”

. . . teenagers:

“A Proclaimer was given to Pastor A. and his team of young evangelists. They have rented a facility to use as a base for ministry, offering free training in various disciplines. Their vision is to reach 5,000 teenage boys using the Proclaimer in Bible studies. They feel that it will be very useful in discipling new believers, especially those who are illiterate.”

These pastors are just 5 among many who are making a difference for the Kingdom in the lives of thousands. God’s light is shining out as a beacon of hope because of their faithful service!

“Deep, awesome words!”

“Deep, awesome words!”

"I feel so lost; I'm desperate to know what I need to do with my life. I'm eager to know more about Christianity and I'd love to acquire a Bible. I'm looking for inner peace, but I feel overwhelmed with confusion. My family and community are [of another faith]. They won't answer my questions. How do I get the Bible where bookstores won't even carry it?" This heartbreaking cry for help came to us through . . .
