Island Inspiration

Island Inspiration

“A few months ago, some foreign and local Christians went out to one of the islands in the Bijagós Archipelago and shared the Gospel (some of the islands have the Good News and others do not). Three people gave their lives to Jesus.

The islanders have no permanent discipleship and they are dying for someone to come live among them. When we arrived they expressed this to us. We encouraged them and also gave them two Proclaimers for different parts of the island.

"These Proclaimers are PERFECT for their situation."

Because they cannot read or write, these Proclaimers are PERFECT for their situation. Believers and non-believers alike will love those things. They were very excited to receive them and loved it when they realized what they were and heard the voices telling them the Gospel in their own language!

It was an awesome experience getting to deliver such a wonderful device to these people. The Proclaimers are a great idea . . . a great tool. Praise God!!”

In fact, he was so sick that we all thought he might die. But we . . ."

One of the teachers wrote: “I’m using the Proclaimer as a working tool for my students – school children – to listen to the stories [of the Bible]. After this, the children participate and think about what they understood. They are very enthusiastic about . . ."
